Mai Nguyen

Mai H. Nguyen is the Lead for Data Analytics at the San Diego Supercomputer Center at UC San Diego. She also holds the position of Associate Director for AI of the Societal Computing and Innovation Lab at UCSD. Her research centers on the use of artificial Intelligence and data science to address complex problems across various domains. She has applied her AI expertise to many application areas, including remote sensing, wildfire mitigation, medical image analysis, biomedical text analytics, and spacecraft autonomy. Mai holds a patent and teaches courses and workshops on AI and scalable analytics.

Prior to joining UCSD, Mai worked in industry on applications in machine learning, data mining, business intelligence, and data warehousing. She received her M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Computer Science from UC San Diego, with focus on AI, and a B.S. degree in Computer Science from Colorado State University.
